Reed Custer Jr Comets

Jr. Comets is a youth tackle football and cheer organization located in Braidwood, IL. Children entering Kindergarten (age 5) thru Eight Grade are eligible for the program.  Our season starts at the end of July and ends in early November. Practice is 5 days a week (Mon-Fri) during the summer from 6-8pm. Once school starts practice will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Practice times will change as we loose light later in the season. 

Cost: $200 registration fee per Athlete with a $25 dollar discount for each additional child per family. 

$100 mandatory fundraising fee per family (Each family will be given 10 tickets to sell for 10 dollars each.)

Reed Custer Jr Comets athletes receive: 

Football: Jersey, helmet (returned), shoulder pads (returned). Game pants can be purchased from the organization or independently. 

Cheer: Cheer uniform (returned), bows, Jacket vs hoodie. 

An equipment/ uniform deposit check for $350 is required and will be returned at the end of the season when all equipment/uniform is returned in good condition. *Check will be cashed if equipment isn't returned or is stained or ruined.  

Each family will be required to volunteer for three (3) shifts (the length of a game). Three (3)- $25 dollar checks will be collected at registration and returned when the volunteer shift is complete. *Checks will be cashed if volunteer shifts are not completed by the end of the season.
